A Fresh Start: Day 1 Recap

It was a Thursday morning when we began our cross country journey. Day 1 was anything but easy. It was hectic and fun but at the same time, it was miserable and exhausting. Being from the South, driving in the snow was not my forte. If anyone remembers the snow storm of 2014, I was one of those drivers who made it home and parked my car until the roads were clear. Arriving to St. Peters, Missouri was a bit of a relief. I was cranky and hungry. You know the worst attitude a man deals with from a woman is when she’s hungry. I slept like a baby that night and so did the kids who drove me bat crazy on the drive up from tantrums to wanting food every few minutes. (lol) Our first day landed us in the Drury in St. Peters, be sure to check them out if you’re ever there. The staff was super friendly and kind to us. Plus dinner was free.
