Going over my Amazon que, one would think I have enough books to read but I have an addiction. Lol. However, I have seven books to read for this semester and felt that I should enjoy the intro week a little before plunging into the endless reading sessions to come for  coursework. I’ll review all of those books too since they aren’t textbooks. Anyways although I’ll be posting reviews over the next few weeks when time permits, I won’t be accepting any more books for review until September. Even then I’ll evaluate what my next courses will be like. This is just a reminder to myself that I’m almost done with grad school. I have a goal to post once a week, guest blogs are still welcome. Happy Reading! Enjoy your summer!

I love reading but I do have my preferences. Although I am open to other forms of writing, I have not branched out to every style of writing. Here’s a list of what I review and require for review considerations:

  • Poetry (my passion in life)
  • Romance : however I haven’t found a Christian romance novel that I like yet but I am still open to reading them.
  • Crime/Mystery
  • Self-Help (Specifically training aids for writing, marketing, etc.)
  • Motivational-Inspirational Books
  • Young Adult

Books I do not review:

  • Biography/Memoir
  • History (I love history but only read this for leisure or studying. There is usually an agenda behind reading history so I don’t read it the same way that I read books for leisure.)
  • Science Fiction

If you do not see your genre listed, feel free to email me at taneisha.lagrant@snhu.edu. Please tell me what format your book is in and how many pages there are. Please note that PDF is preferred as I have issues with opening MOBI files. Self published authors are welcomed. I will post the review on  Goodreads and Amazon. Any reviews posted on this blog are automatically linked to my twitter @taneishalagrant. I will review two to four additional books a month outside of my reading for leisure and school.

I will make exceptions to some books depending on the length.

Email me regarding adult fiction, erotica, BDSM, etc at risingphoenix696@gmail.com.

Note that turn around time is 2 to 3 weeks. Thank you.

Lady T.

Hi and welcome back to my blog. I chose this poem from my book because it made me realize how much I’ve changed over the years. I’m grateful for growth. I wrote this originally back in 2011.

Anger suppressed,

Peace removed

Thoughts unfold,

Hurt finally blooms,

Midnight awakens,

False hopes arise,

Endless tears,

And nonstop cries,

Temptation becomes inevitable,

Fake smiles please the crowd,

The time is now,

Anger unwilling to be tamed,

False hope, false melodies,

Happy endings unrelenting,

Happiness seizes to appear,

Heartbreak remains dormant,

Of a heart that once existed,

Corrupted,

Blindfolded,

Time stops,

Anger is forever,

Melodies and screams,

Unforgiving,

Unwilling,

Unassertive, it builds to explode,

Anxiety,

Dreams crushed,

Moldered,

Cornered,

And destroyed,

Anger hastens to ruin the day,

Forgive me,

Quick tongue,

Unwitting and spiteful,

Mean and bitter,

Temporarily blocked out,

By the rising volcanic explosion to come,

Anger explodes and implodes,

On my life and yours,

Regret fills angry eyes with tears,

Pain arises,

Anger still boils,

But finally below boiling point,

Nothing left but debris and unforgiveness,

Although I have said, I’m sorry,

It falls on deaf ears,

I say let’s talk and it’s the same,

Shove me out the way,

Well, maybe, I deserve it,

Maybe I’m worthless in your eyes,

Who disregard my tears as my want for attention,

And not laying aside my pride,

It’s over now,

We’re two, not one,

Come and gone,

Quickly,

Swiftly,

Unhappy,

Anger flees,

Peace sleeps,

And sadness awakens to comfort,

Let go an move on,

Forgiveness unknown,

Locked doors still unopened,

Unresponsive,

My soul dies,

My eyes stop crying,

My life is new,

I no longer have you,

My heart is broken,

Because you gave up,

Guess that’s the cost,

When anger replaces love…

Peace & Love,

T
